British Transport Police have launched a public appeal to locate a woman who was sexually assaulted at the entrance to Birmingham New Street Station.
Details of the Assault
The incident occurred at the station's Eastern Plaza, next to Smallbrook Queensway, at approximately 10pm on Saturday, October 18. Following the assault, a fight is reported to have broken out in the station.
Officers intervened at the scene and subsequently arrested one man on suspicion of sexual assault. He has since been released on bail while investigations continue.
Urgent Appeal for Information
Despite initial enquiries, investigators have been unable to identify or speak with the victim. Police are now making a direct appeal for her, and any witnesses to the incident, to come forward.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police stated: "Despite conducting enquiries at the scene, officers were unable to speak to the victim and are now appealing for her to come forward."
