Birmingham Burglars Threaten Family, Steal Gold

Terrifying Ordeal for Erdington Family

A family in Birmingham was subjected to a terrifying ordeal after three burglars broke into their home, threatened them, and stole a significant quantity of gold and valuables. The incident occurred on Orchard Road in Erdington at approximately 7:30 pm on Sunday, November 16.

Threats and Theft in Own Home

According to reports, the intruders entered the property and threatened the two occupants. It has been claimed online that the family was effectively held hostage while the raiders ransacked the home. The burglars made off with cash and personal items, specifically described as all the gold and jewellery from the house.

In a disturbing detail from social media posts, which are yet to be officially verified, the offenders are said to have cleaned the house with bleach before leaving. A commenter suggested this was likely an attempt to destroy forensic evidence, such as fingerprints and hair, to hinder the police investigation.

Escape and Police Appeal

The suspects fled the scene in a suspected stolen black Audi. West Midlands Police have confirmed the substantive details of the break-in and are actively carrying out enquiries to identify those responsible.

A police spokesperson stated: “We're investigating after three men broke into a home in Orchard Road, Erdington at around 7.30pm on Sunday (November 16).
