Appeal for Information After Disturbing Train Assault
British Transport Police have launched a public appeal for information following a serious sexual assault on a train travelling from Edinburgh to Birmingham.
The incident occurred on the morning of Thursday, October 23, at approximately 9am. A woman travelling on the service awoke to find a man sexually assaulting her.
Suspect Description and CCTV Image Released
The suspect subsequently disembarked from the train at Wolverhampton Station. In connection with their investigation, officers have released a CCTV image of a man they are urgently seeking to identify and speak to.
The individual is described as a white male, clean-shaven with a shaved head. At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and white trainers and was carrying a phone.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police stated: "Detectives believe the man in the CCTV image may have information that could help with their investigation."
