A petrol station owner in the Black Country has publicly shamed a driver after footage emerged showing a man filling a jerry can and leaving without payment. The incident occurred at the Murco station on Crankhall Lane in Wednesbury on Monday, March 2, and was reported by NeedToKnow.

The video shows a man arriving at the forecourt in a dark grey car. He was wearing a light grey hoodie, grey bottoms, and a black gilet. After briefly chatting with two other people at another pump, he retrieved an empty drum from his boot and carefully filled it with fuel. Once finished, he carried the heavy container back to his car, placed it on the back seat, and drove away without appearing to pay.
Owner's Angry Response
The furious garage owner posted the footage online, commenting on the timing amid rising fuel prices. They said, "As some of you may have seen there’s a lot going on in the Gulf right now which will have an impact on global fuel prices. We have an idea of who it is as I'm sure so do a lot of others also. Here you go mate, here’s your two minutes of fame." This statement highlights the owner's frustration, linking the theft to broader economic pressures.
Public Outrage and Police Involvement
