Armed Police Deployed to Willenhall Street Following Weapon Threat

Armed officers swarmed a street in Willenhall after reports emerged of a man being threatened with a weapon. The incident caused a significant police response in the local area on a Saturday afternoon.

Charges Brought Following Afternoon Arrest

Police were called to Wolverhampton Street in Willenhall at around 12.15pm on Saturday, November 8. Following their enquiries at the scene, officers arrested a man. Benjamin Anson, aged 39, of Walsall, has since been charged with threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.

Court Appearance Scheduled

West Midlands Police confirmed the charge in a statement issued this morning. The accused, Benjamin Anson, is due to appear at Dudley Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 27 to face the charge.
