Shooting in West Midlands Leads to Attempted Murder Charge
A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in the West Midlands that left another man injured. The suspect is scheduled to appear before magistrates later today.
The shooting took place on Wednesday evening in the West Midlands area. Police were called to reports of gunfire and found a man with injuries consistent with a shooting. He was taken to hospital for treatment; his condition is described as stable.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Following inquiries, officers arrested the 21-year-old suspect on Thursday. He has since been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. The suspect will appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court today.
Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, of West Midlands Police, said: "This was a serious incident that has left a man in hospital. We have acted swiftly to charge a suspect, and our investigation continues. We would urge anyone with information to come forward."
Police Appeal for Information
