Police have launched a public appeal to find a driver following a serious road traffic collision in Birmingham that left a motorbike rider with significant injuries.
Details of the Edgbaston Collision
The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 8, at approximately 6:30pm on Poplar Avenue in Edgbaston. A silver Nissan car collided with an electric mini motorbike, causing the rider to be thrown from his vehicle.
The motorbike rider sustained serious leg injuries as a result of the impact. Remarkably, four months after the summer incident, the man is reportedly still in the process of recovering from his injuries.
The Police Investigation and Public Appeal
West Midlands Police have confirmed they have identified the car involved but are now urgently seeking to identify the driver. As part of their investigation, they have released a fleeting CCTV image of a man they wish to speak with.
The individual is described as a black male with short, dark hair. In the image, he appears to be wearing a grey hat or head covering and a black or grey top over a white shirt.
