West Mercia Police issued a public appeal, stating: “Did you see someone throwing objects at vehicles on the M42 last week? At around 1:55 pm on Tuesday, February 17, a person was seen throwing objects at cars from the bridge over the M42 at junction 2 (Hopwood services). One vehicle was struck by an object, which smashed the windscreen and nearly caused a serious collision.”

PC Stuart Head, who is leading the investigation, added: “Throwing things at moving vehicles is incredibly dangerous and can endanger lives. We’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen, or have dashcam footage, showing a person on the bridge at junction 2.”
