West Midlands Police were called to Bridge Street in Walsall at approximately 4:50 am on October 19 after receiving reports of a large group of people fighting. The disorder took place near the entrance to the popular Religion nightclub. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a man and a woman had been injured during the altercation. Both victims were subsequently taken to hospital for medical care.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police confirmed the seriousness of the incident, stating that the pair's injuries were significant enough to necessitate hospital treatment. The area was cordoned off for a forensic examination as investigators began piecing together the events that led to the violence.
