Elderly Driver Dies in Three-Car Collision

A man in his 80s has died after a serious road traffic collision involving three cars on a country road in Herefordshire. The incident occurred on the C1125, which connects Hereford to the village of Sutton St Nicholas, at approximately 5.30pm on Saturday, November 8.

Details of the Collision and Police Arrest

The crash involved a grey Volkswagen Polo, a black BMW 1 Series, and a grey Mazda 6. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but despite the efforts of medics, the driver of the VW Polo was pronounced dead at the location.

In connection with the incident, a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.

Urgent Appeal for Key Tesla Witness

West Mercia Police have issued a specific appeal to trace the driver of a Tesla car. Officers believe this driver could be a key witness to the events leading up to the collision and may have crucial information.

A police spokesperson stated: "We would like to hear from the driver of a Tesla who we believe could be a key witness of the grey VW Polo minutes before the collision."
