Police have recovered the body of a teenage girl from Kingsbury Water Park in Warwickshire after a search operation on Monday evening. Officers were called to Bodymoor Heath Lane shortly after 6pm on 25 May following reports of concerns for a teenage girl in the water. Emergency services, including paramedics, attended the scene and conducted a thorough search across the park. At around 7.20pm, the girl's body was located. Despite the best efforts of paramedics to revive her, she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation Underway
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the girl's death has been launched. Police have confirmed that her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. A spokesperson for Atherstone and Coleshill Police stated: "We can confirm that, sadly, the body of a teenage girl was recovered from the water shortly after 7.20pm. Despite the efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced deceased at the scene." The spokesperson added: "Her next of kin has been informed, and they are being supported by specially trained officers. Over the coming days, we will have officers in the area providing reassurance, so if you have any questions, please speak to them."

Police have appealed to the public to avoid speculation about the incident while the investigation is ongoing. Officers will maintain a presence at Kingsbury Water Park in the coming days to provide reassurance to the community. The spokesperson said: "An investigation into the circumstances has begun, and we would ask people to avoid speculation about what has happened. Our thoughts remain with her family and friends during this difficult time."
