Tragic Loss of a 'Much-Loved' Father-of-Four

The community is in mourning following the death of a 42-year-old father-of-four from Bilbrook, who succumbed to his injuries six days after a serious road traffic collision in Wombourne.

Steven Simpson was involved in the incident on Stourbridge Road, near the junction with Beggars Bush Lane, at 5.44am on Tuesday, November 4. Emergency services rushed him to hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.

Family's Heartbreaking Tribute

Tragically, despite the best efforts of medical staff, Mr Simpson passed away on Monday, November 10. In an emotional tribute released through Staffordshire Police, his devastated family remembered him as a cherished son and brother.

The family's statement read: "Steven was a much-loved father to four boys, a cherished son and brother. You are gone but will never be forgotten. Thank you for your strength and spirit in life. You live on through the memories we hold dear. Rest peacefully Ste."

Ongoing Police Investigation and Appeal

The force's collision investigation unit is continuing its work to establish the full circumstances of the crash. Officers are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with their enquiries.

Authorities are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the event or has dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident.
