Staff at a Morrisons supermarket in Walsall were subjected to a frightening ordeal when a robber threatened them with a knife before making off with alcohol. The incident, which police are treating as a robbery, took place at the store on Wallows Lane.

CCTV Image Released in Public Appeal

West Midlands Police have now issued a clear CCTV image of a woman they urgently wish to speak to in connection with the crime. The force has asked for the public's assistance to help identify the individual pictured.

The woman is described as white and was seen wearing a distinctive black hat and a Rolling Stones t-shirt featuring the band's iconic red lips and tongue logo. Her outfit was completed with a black jacket, black top, black trousers, and a pair of white trainers.

Details of the Alcohol Theft

The robbery occurred on Saturday, September 27, at around 9pm. The perpetrator threatened employees with a small knife before stealing several bottles of alcohol. The total value of the stolen goods is estimated to be around £150.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police stated: "We take such theft incidents seriously, as making threats like this to someone as they do their job, is unacceptable." Officers have been conducting enquiries and are now turning to the public for help.
