Emergency services have launched a large-scale search operation on Brighton beach this morning after a body was reportedly discovered. Rescue teams, including a coastguard helicopter and two lifeboats, were scrambled to the seafront around 9:14 AM on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.
Search Underway
Coastguard vessels have been observed in the water while a significant police presence has gathered along the shoreline. A coastguard helicopter has also been spotted circling overhead, according to reports from the Daily Star.
Body Recovered
A photographer at the scene confirmed that at least one body has been recovered so far in the search operation. The identity of the individual and the circumstances surrounding the discovery have not yet been released.
