The Staffordshire Moorlands village of Longnor is set to welcome visitors to its annual garden open day on Sunday, June 14, from 10am to 4pm. This year's event promises a delightful experience with several new gardens added to the trail.
Event Details
Known for its cobbled marketplace, historic buildings, and scenic surroundings, Longnor will open a selection of private gardens to the public. The event begins at St Bartholomew's Church, where visitors can purchase tickets for £5 per person (under 16s free) and collect a map of participating gardens.
Activities and Entertainment
Alongside the garden trail, the day will feature live music, Morris dancing, and family activities, including a bouncy castle and treasure hunt at St Bartholomew's School and the village playground. Refreshments will be available at the church, offering homemade cakes, while the school will serve burgers and hot dogs. A raffle, tombola, and plant sales will also take place throughout the day.
Charitable Support
All proceeds from the event will be split between Flash and Longnor First Responders and St Bartholomew's Church, Longnor. Organisers encourage visitors from the wider area to use the Moorlands Connect bus service to reach the village.
