Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has confessed he is 'secretly petrified' about becoming a grandfather for the first time, following his daughter Holly's pregnancy announcement.
Baby Announcement
Holly Ramsay, 30, and her husband, Olympic swimmer Adam Ramsay-Peaty, 31, shared the joyful news on Instagram with a loving snapshot captioned: 'Baby Ramsay-Peaty coming December 2026. We can't wait to meet our baby girl.'
Gordon commented under the post: 'Congratulations to you both, sending lots of love, Dad. I'm going to be a very over excited Grandad especially this Christmas.'
Gordon's Reaction
Speaking on 'The Rest Is Football' podcast with Gary Lineker, Gordon opened up about his feelings. Gary, also about to become a grandparent, asked: 'We're both about to become grandparents for the first time. How exciting is that?!'
Gordon replied: 'I am secretly petrified because until they can talk and communicate with you, you can't do much, we're not going to f*****g breastfeed, are we?'
Family Dynamics
Meanwhile, Adam's estranged mother, Caroline, reportedly learned of the pregnancy via a 'very formal text' while on holiday. A source told the Daily Mail: 'Caroline was on holiday. She received a very formal text. We don't want to divulge the content, but it was brief and to the point. It was sent as Holly posted the news on Instagram. There was no happy gathering, no phone call, just a brief mobile message.'
According to the source, Caroline said: 'I am happy for them. News of a new baby is always welcome.'
In contrast, Adam's sister Bethany publicly expressed her excitement, commenting on the Instagram post: 'Aunty Beth loves you already cannot wait to meet you.'
