The incident occurred last week as local photographer and singer Wayne J Swifty was driving past the Cross Keys pub in Willenhall with his daughter. From a distance, the figure on the roof appeared to be a stationary statue, a common decorative feature on some buildings. However, upon closer inspection, Wayne realised the truth was far more peculiar.
"I was driving with my daughter when I saw the dog and it looked like a statue," explained Wayne, aged 53. "That's what I thought it was. I pulled over to take a picture as I thought it was quite prominent, and it turns out it was a real dog, which was quite funny."

Wayne swiftly captured the moment on video, which shows what appears to be a husky-type breed standing calmly on the pub's rooftop, seemingly watching the traffic and activity below with a placid demeanour. The dog shows no signs of distress, instead appearing quite content in its elevated vantage point.
After stopping to document the scene, Wayne posted the video to his Facebook page, where he boasts a following of over 7,500 people. "The dog was ok and I've been told by people that he does it regularly," Wayne added. "I think it's the pub's dog and he gets up on the roof and watches the traffic and stuff."
