A mother from West Bromwich has been found guilty of murdering her two-month-old daughter, Harleen, in a tragic case that has shocked the Black Country community. Zara Arsalan, 31, was convicted at Coventry Crown Court on Friday, February 20, 2026, after a jury rejected her not guilty plea.
Emergency Response and Fatal Injuries
On July 23, 2020, emergency services received a call reporting that baby Harleen was unresponsive after allegedly falling from her mother's lap. Paramedics rushed to the family home in West Bromwich, where they discovered the infant had sustained a severe head injury and unstable breathing.
