The Persimmon Foundation has announced a significant £50,000 donation to the Bristol City Robins Foundation, marking a major investment in youth support services across the city.
Transforming Young Lives Through Targeted Support
This substantial funding will enable the official charity of Bristol City FC to deliver tailored mentoring, life skills development, and wellbeing support for up to 150 young people aged 14-25 who are classified as NEET (not in education, employment or training) or at risk of becoming NEET.
The donation comes at a crucial time, allowing the charity to extend its vital NEET programme for another two years and reach even more vulnerable young people across Bristol and surrounding areas.

The ceremonial cheque presentation took place at Ashton Gate Stadium, with local Member of Parliament Karin Smyth MP joining representatives from both organisations to mark the occasion.
Anthony Vigor, chair of trustees for the Persimmon Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating: "Partnering with the Bristol City Robins Foundation is an incredible opportunity to support long-term, meaningful change in the region. As the Persimmon Foundation, we are proud to play a part in helping young people in the region achieve their full potential."
Building Stronger Communities Through Football
Charlotte Plumb, head of education at Bristol City Robins Foundation, acknowledged the transformative potential of the donation: "We are very grateful to the Persimmon Foundation for their generous £50,000 donation. From supporting young people into education or employment, to improving physical and mental wellbeing, the Robins Foundation is dedicated to changing lives for the better."
The Bristol City Robins Foundation leverages the power of football and the club's community reach to deliver high-quality programmes focused on education, health, inclusion, and sports development.
Karin Smyth MP, Member of Parliament for Bristol South, added her support: "I am delighted to see this generous commitment from the Persimmon Foundation for a valued and influential charity as the Bristol City Robins Foundation. I know this will be of enormous benefit to local young people that will go a long way of improving opportunities in their lives."
Established in 2015, The Persimmon Foundation has built a strong track record in advancing urban regeneration, health, education, and poverty alleviation. Over the past three years alone, the foundation has donated over £1 million to local charities and community groups across regions where the Persimmon Group operates.
