King's College Student Runs 7 Marathons in 7 Days for UK Youth
Student's 7 Marathons in 7 Days for Youth Charity

A determined university student from King's College London is preparing for one of the most physically demanding charity challenges imaginable - running seven full marathons across seven consecutive days.

The Epic Challenge for Youth Services

Billy Nunn, who hails from Benfleet in Essex, will undertake this extraordinary endurance feat between April 6 and April 12, 2026. His motivation stems from deep concern about the continuing cuts to youth services throughout the United Kingdom.

The 21-year-old student explains his powerful driving force: "This challenge is deeply rooted in concern for the thousands of futures affected by these cuts. I aim to not only raise vital funds for UK Youth, but to also shine a light on the importance of youth services."

Personal Connection to Youth Work

Billy's commitment to supporting young people comes from firsthand experience. He credits youth services with playing an integral role in shaping the person he has become.

"Youth services have played an integral role in shaping who I am today," Billy reflects. "From a young age, they provided me the space to meet people from all walks of life and develop a purpose."

He particularly emphasizes the impact of dedicated youth workers, stating: "The youth workers I met helped me stay focused and grounded. Without those experiences, I genuinely don't know where I'd be today."

Building on Previous Success

This isn't Billy's first major fundraising achievement for UK Youth. In April 2025, he distinguished himself as one of the youngest participants to complete the London Marathon, raising an impressive £2,269 for the charity.

However, rather than resting on his laurels, that accomplishment sparked something greater within him. "After completing the London Marathon for UK Youth, I was left with a profound sense of emptiness - a feeling that I hadn't finished the job," Billy reveals.

He continues: "Running one marathon was meaningful, but it didn't feel like enough. In a way, it sparked a deeper drive in me to achieve something bigger; seven marathons in seven days."

Juggling Multiple Commitments

What makes Billy's undertaking even more remarkable is the context of his already demanding life. The student is balancing this immense physical challenge alongside his university studies at King's College London, a part-time job to fund his education, internship applications, and even founding a social initiative designed to empower youth voices.

"I'm working 16-hour days to make this possible; not just in training and recovery, but also in fundraising, outreach, and organising the logistics of this endurance event," Billy explains, demonstrating extraordinary time management and dedication.
