Tutankhamun Immersive Exhibition Arrives in Birmingham This Summer
A major cultural event is set to captivate Birmingham this summer as the award-winning Tutankhamun: The Immersive Exhibition opens at the NEC Campus. This extensive exhibition will run for a limited twelve-week period from June 19 to September 13, offering visitors a unique journey back to ancient Egypt.

Spanning an impressive 2,000 square metres, the exhibition invites guests to explore the myths and mysteries surrounding Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Through a blend of cutting-edge technology and historical insights, it transports attendees across six creatively designed galleries that delve deeply into the lives of ancient Egyptians.
Visitors will encounter curated replicas and artefacts, providing an authentic glimpse into Egypt's rich cultural heritage. A highlight is the massive immersive video mapping room, which vividly recounts Egypt's history, natural landscapes, and the life of Tutankhamun, including the groundbreaking discovery of his tomb.
Virtual Reality and Interactive Experiences
The exhibition features a virtual reality experience that allows guests to relive the monumental 1922 discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. This immersive segment also includes explorations of Howard Carter's basecamp and the legendary Valley of the Kings, offering a firsthand perspective on this archaeological triumph.
Additionally, an interactive walk-through guides visitors through the Valley of the Kings, while a 360-degree seated virtual reality experience journeys into the mystical Egyptian afterlife, enhancing the educational and engaging aspects of the visit.
