Brecon Promenade is set to welcome a spectacular four-day feast for the entire community this May. The Big Food Festival will bring together more than 20 independent traders for a weekend of unique flavours and culinary exploration.
Event Dates and Unique Offerings
Visitors can explore a wide variety of cuisines from May 22, 2026, to May 25, 2026. The organisers have promised that no two stalls will serve the same dishes, ensuring a fresh experience at every turn. Many of the talented individuals cooking at the event are local traders from across Wales, showcasing the best of regional produce and culinary creativity.
Entertainment and Atmosphere
Alongside the delicious food, families can enjoy a fully stocked bar and live entertainment by the riverside. The event is designed to be a relaxed outdoor experience that is welcoming to both children and dogs. Entry to the festival is free, though attendees are encouraged to book tickets online to help manage crowd numbers effectively.
Organiser's Vision
Maria, co-founder of the Big Food Festival, shared her excitement: "The focus for us is always the food. We want people to come to Brecon and try things they wouldn’t usually find locally, while also supporting independent traders, many of them from Wales. It’s about creating something that feels easy to be part of, but with really strong food at the centre."
