Dash of Colour Fun Run Celebrates Hospice Opening

Phyllis Tuckwell's Dash of Colour fun run, celebrating the opening of the new Hospice, will take place on Saturday, July 4 at 1pm at Frimley Lodge Park. Participants can walk, jog, or run a 2.5k or 5k route, showered with colourful powder paint along the way.

Fundraising for Vital Care

Sponsorship funds raised will support expert medical, nursing, therapeutic, emotional, and practical care for local people with advanced or terminal illnesses. Phyllis Tuckwell cares for over 2,200 patients annually and supports their loved ones. NHS/Government funding covers only about 25% of costs, requiring over £30,000 daily to provide services.

Raising just £27 can fund an hour’s care from an In-Patient Unit nurse; £40 covers a counselling session for a patient or relative; £75 pays for three hours of physiotherapy; and £130 supports a Living Well group session.
