The dates for Eid al-Adha 2026 have been officially confirmed after the crescent moon was sighted in Saudi Arabia. Hajj will commence on Monday, 25 May, with the Day of Arafah falling on Tuesday, 26 May. Eid al-Adha will be observed on Wednesday, 27 May.
Birmingham Eid Events
On 25 May, an Eid Ul Adha Henna Nites event will take place at Hadley Hall Banqueting Suite in Bearwood, Smethwick. From 4pm to 10pm, Jannah Experiences promises an evening of celebration, community, food and fun. Tickets cost £10 for adults, with children under 12 admitted free. On 26 May, Fort Shopping Park in Birmingham will host a special family day to mark the second Eid celebration. From 11am to 5pm, the Erdington retail park will feature independent brands, unique gifts, delicious treats and a welcoming atmosphere for the whole family to enjoy.
London Eid Event
In London, a massive Eid on the Square event will be held in Trafalgar Square on Saturday, 30 May, from 12pm to 6pm. This marks the 20th anniversary of Eid celebrations at this central London location. The main stage will be hosted by Nadia Ali and Juwayria Ghazali, with art and craft workshops, food and retail stalls throughout.
