Scott's Final Chapter and Villa Challenges
Four-time Love Islander Scott van-der-Sluis declared that Love Island All Stars 2026 would be his dating show finale, his last chance to find happiness. He found that potential with Leanne Amaning, but not without facing significant challenges along the way. The trials came in the form of fellow Islanders Belle Hassan and Sher Suarez, who nearly turned Scott's head while he was in the villa. Meanwhile, Leanne briefly entertained interest in Yamen Sanders before ultimately reuniting with Scott, who declared she was the "only thing that made sense."
Pressure to Go Official in the Villa
When fellow Islanders Sean Stone and Lucinda Strafford made their relationship official within the villa, unexpected pressure fell on Scott to do the same with Leanne. However, Scott remained adamant that he didn't want to take that step while still in the controlled environment of the Love Island villa. He explained to co-star Whitney Adebayo: "We do just need to see how it works in the first couple, two to three weeks [outside of the villa]." Scott added thoughtfully: "I look at Leanne and I see girlfriend material, does that mean that right it's the right moment?"

Meanwhile, Leanne had been telling Lucinda that she would happily make things official with Scott while they were still in the villa. During a dinner party where Islanders received questions from the public, many couples asked whether Scott was fully into Leanne given his hesitation to take the next step. Leanne expressed frustration with this line of questioning, pointing out that relationship decisions should be mutual and questioning why Scott seemed to hold all the power in their dynamic.
While playing Capital's quote game 'Who Said That?', Leanne admitted she did feel "dishevelled" during her time in the villa, but clarified: "It was giving dishevelled. Now looking back I'm like I was in there stressed, fighting for my life everyday, arguing in the garden daily. It got to a point where I was like, dishevelled." She emphasized that this feeling wasn't because of Scott specifically.

Now that the couple has been out of the villa for two weeks, Capital directly asked if they were officially together. Scott kept his cards close to his chest, responding: "I've been asked this question so many times over the last [few days], all I can say is, yeah that's just for me to know. That's for me to know." Leanne simply tilted her head and said: "Yeah," leaving their exact relationship status somewhat ambiguous but suggesting positive developments.
The couple recently posted a photo together on Instagram with the caption: "Final chapter. Fairytale ending. Thank you everyone❤️," hinting at a promising future together despite the challenges they faced in the villa and the ongoing public curiosity about their relationship status.
