TV presenter Stacey Solomon has shared the amusing aftermath of a significant personal change, revealing that her husband, Joe Swash, failed to notice her new hairstyle.
A 'Complete Change' for the New Year
The BBC Sort Your Life Out star decided to make a bold switch as 2025 drew to a close. After initially planning just a root touch-up with her stylist Penny, Stacey had a sudden impulse for something more dramatic. "I had an end of year moment where I just wanted a complete change," she explained to her followers on Instagram. The result was a shift to soft, brown locks, which she lovingly described as her "soft brown era."
Family Fails to Spot the Difference
Despite feeling like a "totally different person" and a "whole new woman," Stacey was met with a surprising lack of reaction at home. She confessed that her husband, actor and presenter Joe Swash, had not commented on her new look. "Joe hasn't even said a word. Not even a little 'is something different'," she revealed on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, 4th December 2025.
The mum-of-five noted that her sister was the only family member who spotted the transformation when they met. This led Stacey to question her own perception, wondering if the change was less dramatic than she believed. "So now I'm thinking maybe it's not as dramatic as I thought in my head. Maybe I look the same," she mused.

After sharing a picture of her caramel brunette hair on her main Instagram grid, fans were quick to offer the compliments she felt were missing at home. Dozens of followers assured her that the change was stunning and expressed disbelief that Joe hadn't noticed.
