Alison Hammond's Show Replaces Adil Ray's Game Programme on ITV

ITV has confirmed that Alison Hammond's For the Love of Dogs will replace the popular game show Celebrity Lingo in its usual schedule slot this week. The change takes effect tonight, with the new series airing at 7:30pm.

Celebrity Lingo's Run

Celebrity Lingo first premiered in 2022, hosted by Adil Ray, well known for presenting Good Morning Britain. The show invites celebrities to compete in pairs, solving 4- and 5-letter word puzzles similar to the popular game Wordle, with winnings donated to charity.

The last episode aired last Tuesday, featuring RuPaul's Drag Race UK stars Tia Kofi and Danny Beard against former England goalkeeper David Seaman and his wife, Dancing on Ice professional Frankie Seaman.

For the Love of Dogs Returns

Alison Hammond took over hosting duties on For the Love of Dogs in 2024 following the passing of Paul O'Grady. The show follows Alison at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home as she helps rescue dogs find loving forever homes. Viewers see heartwarming and emotional stories of dogs undergoing medical treatment and behavioural training.

Speaking about the third series, Alison said: "I'm absolutely over the moon to be heading back to Battersea. My heart was truly stolen by the brave pups I met last time, and I've been itching to get back, roll up my sleeves, and help these gorgeous animals find the love they deserve."

The six-part series promises laughter, emotion, and heartwarming victories. Peter Laurie, Battersea Chief Executive, added: "Battersea is excited to welcome another series of For the Love of Dogs to TV screens this Spring, where Alison will once again be sharing the heartfelt stories of some of the dogs that have come into our care recently."

For the Love of Dogs airs Wednesdays on ITV from 7:30pm.
