Ally Salort Shares Personal Memories and Career Reflections in Candid Q&A

To mark the launch of her latest single 'I've Never Met Her', rising music star Ally Salort has taken a nostalgic journey through her past by answering twenty revealing questions in the 'My Life In 20' interview series. The singer-songwriter offered intimate glimpses into her teenage years, career milestones, and personal passions.

Vampire Diaries Obsession and Musical Influences

In a particularly memorable admission, Ally Salort confessed her intense teenage fascination with the popular supernatural drama The Vampire Diaries. "I wanted to be Elena or Katherine in The Vampire Diaries so badly," she revealed, highlighting how the show captured her imagination during her formative years.

When asked about albums she could listen to repeatedly, Salort immediately pointed to SZA's Ctrl. "There's just so much to it," she explained. "I feel like I discover something new every time I listen. It also just feels so nostalgic - I used to play it on repeat in high school."

Life-Changing Move to Los Angeles

The most significant event of her eighteenth year proved to be her relocation to Los Angeles, where she secured a recording contract while simultaneously adjusting to life outside the educational system. "Moving to LA, getting signed and simultaneously learning to live without school for the first time in my life," Salort recalled. "I don't think I realised how much stability school gave me even for things as simple as measuring time. I think I felt really disoriented while simultaneously navigating the music industry and a new city."

Personal Passions and Teenage Memories

Beyond music, Salort expressed deep enthusiasm for astrology, claiming she could discuss the topic for nineteen minutes without preparation. "I'm really into astrology," she shared. "I love reading my friends and family's charts and asking them a million questions to see if they resonate. I have so much fun with it."

Her teenage years included typical adolescent experiences, from having a crush on both a longtime friend and actor Michael B. Jordan at seventeen to vague memories of her sixteenth birthday. "Not much honestly but I probably cried at some point in the day knowing me," she admitted with characteristic honesty.

New Music and Continued Evolution

The interview coincides with the release of Salort's new single 'I've Never Met Her', which represents the latest chapter in her evolving musical career. Through her candid responses, Salort paints a picture of an artist who has navigated significant transitions while maintaining connection to the interests and influences that shaped her teenage self.
