Aston Villa have announced that the band Editors will headline a hometown show at Villa Park's new multi-purpose entertainment venue this summer. The announcement was made on the club's social media channels today, Tuesday, April 28.

The band will perform at The Warehouse at Villa Park on Thursday, July 9, as part of their forthcoming tour. This comes as Editors return with a new single, Call It In, marking their first new music since their 2022 studio album EBM.
A New Era for Villa Park
The show is another major live music announcement for The Warehouse at Villa Park, the club's new multi-purpose entertainment venue which opened this spring. Already established as a vibrant matchday fan destination, The Warehouse is building a reputation as one of Birmingham's most exciting new spaces for live events.

About Editors
Formed in 2002 after meeting at university in Birmingham, Editors have released seven studio albums, all of which achieved top 10 status in the UK. Their debut album, The Back Room, received a Mercury Prize nomination, and the 2007 follow-up, An End Has A Start, reached number 1 in the UK and earned a Brit Award nomination. Their 2009 album In This Light And On This Evening also hit the top spot in the UK album charts. They released their last album, EBM, in 2022.
Future Plans
Having already announced a number of European festival appearances over the summer, Editors will open The Warehouse at Villa Park. The band have also revealed they will go on tour in 2027.
