Step into a world of cogs, corsets, and curiosity as Erewash Museum's Steampunk event returns this weekend. The event takes place on Saturday, June 6, from 11am to 4pm, and is themed around Steampunk, a subgenre of science fiction inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Visitors can expect a fantastic day out filled with creativity, where they are encouraged to dress up and embrace steam-powered style.
What to Expect
Come along to discover live performances, a spectacular magic show, and tea duelling – an unusual contest where two 'dunkers' attempt to eat a biscuit that has been dunked in hot tea the most cleanly. There will also be market stalls and more steampunk surprises throughout the day.
Market Stalls
The fascinating market stalls will be packed with trinkets, whimsy, fashion, and steampunk accessories, perfect for collectors and newcomers alike. Delivered in partnership with The Friends of Erewash Museum, it promises to be a memorable day out for families, steampunk fans, and the creatively curious.
