Euphoria Season 3 Ending: What Happens to Every Character
The third and final season of Euphoria has concluded, bringing the stories of Rue, Maddy, Cassie, Jules, and others to a dramatic close. With no season 4 planned, character arcs have been resolved, though some lingering questions remain. Here is a detailed breakdown of each character's fate in the finale.
Rue's Tragic End
After a season of peril involving drug kingpins Laurie and Alamo, Rue dies from a drug overdose. In the finale, she escapes Laurie's compound and returns to Alamo, who gives her percocets to ease her pain. Unbeknownst to Rue, the pills are laced with fentanyl, causing her to overdose while recovering on Ali's sofa. Her final hallucinations are shown before Ali discovers her body the next morning.
Maddy's Survival and New Venture
Maddy becomes entangled in Alamo's world after Nate's death. In the finale, she visits a strip club to pay off Cassie and Nate's debt to Alamo, who hints at wanting children with her. Ali intervenes, using Maddy as a human shield during a standoff, but she survives unharmed. Maddy and Cassie now live together, operating an OnlyFans content house, and keep Nate's death a secret.
Jules' Silent Grief
Jules is last seen in her sugar daddy's penthouse, painting a portrait with tears in her eyes after hearing of Rue's death. She had previously slapped Rue during their last encounter. The portrait is of Rue, and she walks away without a word.
Cassie's Lonely Deception
Cassie lives with Maddy in an ugly mansion, still in debt to Alamo before his death. The two plan a content house for OnlyFans. After Nate's death, Cassie lies to everyone, including her sister Lexi, claiming Nate disappeared. The final scene shows Cassie crying alone in the dark, emphasizing her isolation.
Lexi's Guilt and Growth
Lexi feels guilty about her strained relationship with Rue before her death. After reading Rue's Bible, she concludes that not everything is her fault. Cassie offers her a job as a storyteller at the content house, but Lexi declines to focus on self-improvement.
Faye's Escape
Faye betrays Rue by waking Wayne during a robbery, but Rue escapes before the DEA raids the ranch. Faye and Wayne manage to flee and are last seen hitchhiking.
Nate's Death
Nate dies in episode 7 after being bitten by a rattlesnake trapped in a coffin where Naz buried him alive. His death remains secret, known only to Maddy and Cassie. Cassie tells Lexi he disappeared.
Ali's Revenge and Redemption
Ali wakes to find Rue dead from an overdose. Seeking vengeance, he kills Alamo, the supplier of the fentanyl-laced pills. Afterward, he visits the homestead where Rue found refuge and shares a meal with the family, leaving an empty seat for Rue. He sees a vision of her smiling.
Laurie's Suicide
When the DEA raids her ranch, Laurie chooses suicide over prison. She ties a rope around her neck and jumps from the roof as the SWAT team closes in.
Alamo's Death
Ali shoots and kills Alamo at the strip club in revenge for Rue's death. Alamo is handed a gun with no ammo, allowing Ali to shoot him three times.
