Sainsbury's shoppers are flocking to stores to snap up the latest limited-edition flavour of McVitie's Digestives, which merges the beloved biscuit with the iconic taste of Jaffa Cakes. The new product has been described as the 'biscuit of dreams' by excited customers.
New Flavour Combination
The digestive biscuits feature the traditional orange flavour and chocolate covering associated with Jaffa Cakes, but with a twist. Unlike the original Jaffa Cake, which has a dark chocolate layer and a jelly-like centre, the new Digestives have a chewy, stretchy orange caramel filling. Food blogger @johns_snackreviews gave them an eight out of ten, noting: 'They're identical to the Digestives caramel for texture. It's a chewy, stretchy Jaffa caramel. They're not soft jelly like a Jaffa Cake. Definitely Jaffa flavour rather than a chocolate orange, though.'

Social media account 'NewFoodFindsUK' posted a video of the biscuits on TikTok, prompting a flurry of comments. One shopper declared: 'I need all of it,' while another admitted: 'Look good but best not once I start I wont be able to stop.' Others rushed to their nearest Sainsbury's, with one commenter saying: 'So now I have to stop off at Sainsbury's.' Many praised the biscuits as perfect with a cup of tea.

The packaging confirms these are a limited edition flavour, meaning shoppers need to act fast. The biscuits are available now in Sainsbury's stores across the UK, priced at £2.25 for a 250g pack. McVitie's has not yet announced whether the product will be rolled out to other retailers.
