Superdrug Launches Government-Accredited Healthcare Training for Employees
Superdrug Launches Accredited Healthcare Training for Staff

Superdrug has announced that its store employees will have the opportunity to receive government-accredited training. The new initiative is a Level 3 equivalent Healthcare Ambassador Accreditation, designed to strengthen the expertise of store colleagues.

Programme Details

The eight-week programme will be deployed across 75 stores, introducing a more structured and advanced level of learning for employees. According to a Superdrug survey of 634 customers, 65% of respondents said they would value more in-store support and guidance for their health and wellbeing.

Simon Comins, Superdrug's chief operating officer, stated: "People are increasingly looking for convenient, trusted support with everyday health concerns, and the high street has an important role to play." He added that the training programme builds on the strong foundations already in place across Superdrug stores and gives colleagues even greater confidence to help customers with everyday health needs, enabling them to offer clear, responsible advice at the right moment. "As demand for accessible healthcare support grows, it's important that our teams are equipped to respond safely and confidently," Comins said.

Additional Services

This announcement follows Superdrug's launch of a first-of-its-kind service for UK stores, delivering a make-up artist to customers' doors in just 30 minutes. Superdrug has partnered with Just Eat to deliver beauty must-haves alongside health and wellness essentials in as little as 30 minutes. To celebrate the partnership, Just Eat is launching a limited-time make-up artist delivery service available in London and Manchester on Friday 8 May and Saturday 9 May.

The launch comes as research reveals that Brits lose an average of four hours per month to beauty blunders. In partnership with viral make-up artist CC Clarke, customers in London and Manchester can book one-on-one sessions for a last-minute beauty rescue. The sought-after slots, available via Eventbrite for the specified dates, will see CC delivered directly to recipients' homes.
