Birmingham's Sunny Weekend Forecast: Warm Temperatures to Continue
The warm weather that has graced Birmingham and the Black Country is set to persist throughout the weekend, bringing plenty of sunshine and pleasant temperatures. This follows a record-breaking Wednesday, which marked the warmest day of the year so far across the United Kingdom.
Weekend Weather Details
According to the Met Office, high pressure will dominate the region, ensuring largely dry conditions with sunny spells. On Saturday, Birmingham can expect top temperatures of around 15°C, while Sunday will see similar conditions with temperatures peaking at 14°C. No rain is forecast for either day, making it ideal for outdoor activities.
Friday, which coincides with the spring equinox, will also be warm, with maximum temperatures reaching 16°C in Birmingham and surrounding areas. The day may start chilly with some mist and fog, but this will clear to reveal abundant sunshine.
Record-Breaking Warmth
The recent warm spell was highlighted on Wednesday, when the UK recorded its highest temperature of the year so far. Gogerddan near Aberystwyth saw 20.9°C, while England experienced its warmest day with 20.2°C at Northolt in London. Although the weekend temperatures will be slightly cooler, they remain well above average for this time of year.
The Met Office's forecast for the weekend notes: "Largely dry each day, with sunny spells at times. More cloud around from Sunday onwards. Starting to feel cooler by day and remaining fairly chilly overnight."
Residents are encouraged to make the most of the sunny weather, as conditions are expected to remain favorable for outdoor pursuits. With clear skies and mild temperatures, it's a perfect opportunity to explore Birmingham's parks and green spaces.
