Mobile Tip Trucks Schedule Released During Bin Strike

Birmingham Council Announces Mobile Tip Truck Timetable During Bin Strike

Birmingham City Council has released the schedule for its mobile tip trucks this week, providing a crucial service for residents affected by the ongoing bin strike. The trucks will be stationed at various locations across the city, allowing householders to transfer unwanted waste to crews for safe disposal.

Since the start of the industrial action, the fleet has proven enormously popular, accepting a wide range of items to help manage the waste backlog. Residents can bring items such as beds, mattresses, sofas, and small kitchen appliances to these mobile units.

Accepted and Prohibited Items

The council has specified that the mobile tip trucks do not accept certain materials. Bricks, rubble, fridges, and large kitchen appliances are not permitted. For these items, householders are advised to use the city's permanent tip facilities instead.
