British Gas Launches Exclusive WSL Tariff, Beating Price Cap
British Gas unveils new WSL Football energy tariff

British Gas has launched an exclusive new energy deal for football fans, teaming up with Women's Super League Football. The provider has become the official energy partner of the league and is now offering a special one-year fixed tariff.

An Exclusive Deal for the Football Community

The new WSL Football Tariff is available only to members who sign up directly through WSL Football channels. This can be done via email subscription or through the league's official social media accounts. The key promise is that this tariff will be guaranteed to be cheaper than the energy price cap set to take effect in January.

This initiative is designed specifically for players, fans, and supporters of the Barclays Women’s Super League and Barclays Women’s Championship (WSL 2). It marks a significant expansion of British Gas's existing partnership with women's football.

Extending Benefits Beyond the Pitch

This new offering builds on benefits British Gas already provides to its customers. The company currently rewards customers with thousands of free tickets to Barclays WSL and WSL 2 matches and exclusive experiences.

Furthermore, through the British Gas PeakSave scheme, fans can enjoy half-price electricity when watching matches on Sundays. The launch of the dedicated tariff takes this community-focused support a step further, aiming to have a tangible impact on household bills.

Leadership Hails "Next Level" Partnership

James Corcoran, Partnerships Director at British Gas, commented on the development. "We’re proud to launch the WSL Football Tariff and be the first energy provider to take a partnership like this to the next level," he said. "This tariff reflects our ongoing commitment to energising women’s football, supporting communities and rewarding our customers."

Zarah Al-Kudcy, Chief Revenue Officer at WSL Football, emphasised the real-world impact of the deal. "The WSL Football Tariff extends the impact of our partnership with British Gas beyond the pitch," she stated. "Access to this exclusive offer will have real-term impact on the women’s football community, helping them save on their energy bills while continuing to champion the game."

The announcement, made on 4 December 2025, underscores a growing trend of brands creating targeted offers for specific communities, linking customer savings with support for national sports.
