EDF's November 30 Heat Pump Deadline: Save £1000 & Cut Bills
EDF's November 30 Heat Pump Warning for Customers

Energy supplier EDF has issued a time-sensitive alert for homeowners, urging them to take action before a fast-approaching deadline to secure significant savings on a green heating upgrade.

The Limited-Time Heat Pump Offer

EDF is helping households make the complete switch away from gas with a new, limited-time savings package on heat pumps. The deal is available only until 30 November or for the first 150 customers.

Homeowners who purchase a Daikin or Ideal heat pump through this offer will receive £1,000 off the cost. This is in addition to a complimentary 7-year service, warranty, and maintenance package.

Substantial Savings and Efficiency Gains

When combined with the government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) grant, the discount means a Daikin or Ideal air source heat pump from EDF Heat Pumps starts from just £4,144.

This technology presents a cleaner alternative to traditional gas boilers. Heat pumps are remarkably efficient, often achieving over 300% efficiency compared to a standard gas boiler.

By switching to an air source heat pump and using EDF’s Heat Pump Tracker Tariff, households could save approximately £164 on their energy bills annually. Furthermore, this change can help cut carbon emissions by 13%.

Supporting the Transition to Low Carbon Living

Philippe Commaret, Managing Director of Customers at EDF, acknowledged the challenges homeowners face. He stated, “Moving away from gas and installing low carbon technologies like heat pumps is a significant step which can feel daunting, and cost is often the biggest concern.”

He added, “That’s why we’ve launched a significant discount alongside a host of other support measures to make the transition to low carbon living simpler and more affordable.”

EDF Heat Pumps guarantees its installations, promising that all heat pumps will perform as promised, or customers will receive a refund. This assurance is backed by positive customer feedback. Steve, a recent customer, reported, “We had a very smooth experience getting our heat pump, with excellent communication all the way through. The Ideal heat pump works well and is nearly silent most of the time.”

EDF's own analysis highlights the urgency for homeowners to consider their heating options before winter peaks, identifying 11 January as the day people are most likely to search for boiler repairs.
