A house in Wolverhampton has been left charred and partially boarded up following a fire caused by an electric scooter that was charging. The incident occurred on Enville Road in the Warstones area, prompting a response from West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS).
Fire Response Details
Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at 7:21 PM on June 6, 2026, with approximately 20 firefighters dispatched to the scene. Two fire engines from Wolverhampton fire station attended, along with additional appliances from Tettenhall and Wombourne.
A spokesperson for WMFS confirmed that the fire originated from an electric scooter that had been left on charge. The road was cordoned off by West Midlands Police to manage traffic while emergency services worked.
Occupant Safety
All occupants had evacuated the property before firefighters arrived, and no injuries were reported. The fire was extinguished, and crews left the scene at 10:53 PM.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson stated: "We were called to assist with traffic management, and no injuries were reported."
