A dedicated administrator at Spire Little Aston Hospital has been honoured with a major award for her exceptional commitment to patient services and unwavering support for her colleagues.

A Decade of Dedication Recognised

Caroline Nice, a key member of the Outpatient department administration team, was presented with an IRIS Award (Inclusive Recognition of Inspirational Staff) in a special ceremony. The award, presented on 17th November 2025, celebrates Spire Healthcare staff members who consistently go above and beyond their duties, creating a lasting positive impact on patients, colleagues, and the wider hospital community.

Caroline, who has been with Spire for more than ten years, was singled out for this honour across the entire network of 38 private hospitals and 50 clinics operated by Spire Healthcare. The presentation was attended by Jane Proctor, Specialist Clinical Services Director from the group's head office, highlighting the significance of the achievement.

Colleagues Praise Professionalism and Team Spirit

The nomination for the award came directly from Caroline's colleagues, who were effusive in their praise. They highlighted her crucial role in supporting the department through numerous operational changes over the past year.

"She has been instrumental in training new staff members, offering guidance, and actively encouraging their professional development," the nomination stated. Her colleagues described her as a diligent, hardworking, and exceptional team player who consistently ensures the smooth operation of clinics.

"Caroline is so organised and methodical that as nurses, we couldn't manage without her," they added. The nomination also emphasised her positive attitude, noting that "she never complains, even in challenging situations, instead finding solutions with positivity and professionalism."

Vicky Morris, the Hospital Director at Spire Little Aston Hospital, echoed the sentiments of the staff. She stated that Caroline perfectly embodies the teamwork, dedication, and professionalism that foster a supportive and high-performing environment within the hospital.

"Her commitment to both colleagues and patients ensures our services run smoothly and to the highest standards," Morris said. "We are absolutely delighted to see her hard work and contributions recognised with this well-deserved award."
