  1. Take a piece of string equal to your height
  2. Fold it precisely in half to create half your height measurement
  3. Wrap this halved string around your waist at its narrowest point

Dr Clare Mosley clarifies: "If it doesn't meet then you are more likely to have metabolic issues like heading towards diabetes and being overweight."

Why Waist-to-Height Ratio Matters

The fundamental principle underpinning this test maintains that your waist circumference should measure less than half your height. Exceeding this ratio indicates potential increased risk for cardiometabolic conditions including:
