Urgent Recall: Kettles Sold at Currys, House of Fraser, and Robert Dyas
Kettles Sold at Currys, House of Fraser, Robert Dyas Recalled

Two models of electric kettles sold at major UK retailers including Currys, House of Fraser, and Robert Dyas have been urgently recalled after reports of handles breaking off during use. The Enfinigy Water Kettle (1.5L) and Enfinigy Pro Water Kettle (1.5L) were also available at Fenwick and Selfridges.

Scalding Risk Prompts Recall

Consumer safety authorities have issued the recall after users reported that the kettle's handle may loosen or detach entirely while in operation, posing a serious risk of spilling boiling water and causing scalding injuries. Zwilling, the manufacturer, confirmed that at least one case of second-degree burns has already been reported.

How to Identify Affected Kettles

Customers can check if their kettle is part of the recall by looking for a display reading "MAX 1.5 L" or a maximum capacity of "10" cups printed on the side of the device.

Refund and Safety Advice

Zwilling has urged all customers who purchased these kettles to stop using them immediately and return them to the point of sale for a full refund. In a statement, the company said: "We at Zwilling are committed to ensuring our products are safe and our customers are satisfied. We have therefore decided to recall the water kettles. You will of course receive your money back."

Related Recall: Pressure Washers

This recall follows a separate product safety alert for certain pressure washers sold online. The Cordless Pressure Washer, manufactured in China by Yongkang Champagne Industry and Trade, was recalled due to a serious risk of electric shock. The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) warned that the insulation around the electrical components may degrade during use, potentially leading to electric shock. Similar products are sold on platforms such as Temu, Amazon, and AliExpress, prompting authorities to advise extra caution when purchasing such devices.
