Rossendale Planning Applications June 5

Rossendale Borough Council has registered a series of planning applications for the week ending Friday, June 5. The proposals include residential extensions, conversions, and new builds across the borough.

Residential and Commercial Developments

A full application has been submitted for a single-storey link extension between buildings, additional off-street parking spaces, and alterations to the existing building at Sunnyside Rest Home on Coupland Close in Whitworth. The project also includes the addition of patio doors and internal reconfiguration to create extra bedrooms.

At Reddish Hill Farm on Market Street in Shawforth, plans propose the change of use and conversion of two agricultural buildings into two dwellings. This involves raising the roof and adding a minor extension.

An air source heat pump is proposed for installation on the rear elevation of 153 Cherry Crescent in Rawtenstall. Meanwhile, at 423 Market Street in Whitworth, a car port and terrace are planned for the rear, along with boundary fencing and rear gates for access.

Extensions and Alterations

A first-floor balcony with a side privacy screen is proposed at 11 Worswick Green in Rawtenstall. At 7 Hurst Crescent, a single-storey side extension and garage conversion will create a garden room. Similarly, 8 Heather Close in Haslingden is set for a first-floor extension over the gable and a single-storey rear extension.

Rossdale Farm on New Barn Lane in Rawtenstall seeks to convert a garage and build an extension above it to provide an entrance lobby, office, sitting room, and shower room on the ground floor, with bedrooms and ensuites on the first floor. At 32 Moorland Rise in Haslingden, internal and external works will convert an attached garage into a habitable lounge with a wet room.

Change of Use and Tree Works

A full application proposes changing the first floor of 143A Burnley Road East in Waterfoot from residential to commercial use (Class E). Tree works are planned at 1 Swinshaw Close in Loveclough, specifically the felling of two sycamore trees protected by a Tree Preservation Order.

Permission in Principle is sought for a single dwelling with garden and parking on land at Scarr End Farm on Weir Lane in Bacup. Additionally, 8 Onchan Drive in Bacup is set for a single-storey rear extension and a double-storey side extension.

Further Extensions and Retention

At 108 Booth Road in Stacksteads, a single-storey rear extension with storage below, replacement decking, and steps to the lower garden is proposed. Two applications seek retention of safety fencing around the boundary of the former Waterbarn Baptist Church on Rakehead Lane in Stacksteads.

Finally, a digital advertisement screen is proposed for installation at Hazel Mill on Blackburn Road in Haslingden.
