New Housing and Tree Works: Latest Rossendale Planning Applications
Rossendale Planning Applications: New Homes and Tree Works

Rossendale Borough Council has registered a series of planning applications up to the week ending Friday, May 15. The submissions cover a range of developments, from new housing to tree management and infrastructure works.

New Housing Developments

A prominent application proposes the erection of six three-storey dwellings in two blocks of three at Loveclough Social Club, Commercial Street, Loveclough. Another application seeks a lawful development certificate for a rear dormer at 11 Mount Pleasant, Rawtenstall. Additionally, a residential development of two dwellings with detached garages, access improvements, and an upgraded access road is proposed at Cross Farm, Dobbin Lane, Cloughfold.

Discharge of Conditions

Several applications involve the discharge of conditions from previous approvals. At 34 Deardengate, Haslingden, a mortar analysis and mix condition is to be discharged. At 16 Burnley Road, Bacup, a materials schedule condition is under review. For the Haweswater Aqueduct, multiple conditions are being addressed, including a Construction Environment Management Plan, Construction Code of Practice, Ecological Safeguards, and Tree and Landscape Safeguarding measures.

A non-material amendment is sought for an arboricultural impact assessment on land off Fieldfare Way, Bacup, to enable a connection to an existing manhole.

Demolition and Infrastructure

Works at Athertonholme Mill, Railway Street, Stacksteads, Bacup, involve the demolition of a freestanding masonry chimney stack no longer in use. Infrastructure details for the Haslingden Road Compound (phases 1 and 2) at Haweswater Aqueduct include surface water, private water supply, materials management, and site waste management plans.

These applications reflect ongoing development and maintenance activities across Rossendale. For more details, residents can access the full list on the council's website.
