Preparations are in full swing for the Junior and Mini Great Birmingham Run, which will take place this Saturday, May 2, at Alexander Stadium in Perry Barr, Birmingham. The event is set to welcome hundreds of young runners before the main Great Birmingham Run on Sunday, May 3.
Event Details and Timing
Doors will open at 8am, with races commencing at 9am. Children aged three to eight will participate in a 1.5km mini course, while juniors aged nine to 15 will tackle a longer 2.5km route. Organisers have designed the inclusive format to promote fun, fitness, and confidence among younger participants.
Superhero Fancy Dress Encouraged
Young runners are encouraged to wear superhero fancy dress for the popular annual event, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day.
Parking and Logistics
On-site parking will be available via Church Road. Families are advised to plan ahead, as congestion around the venue is expected during peak morning hours.
Results and Photos
All participants will receive official finishing times and can access their results and event photographs after crossing the line in the AJ Bell-sponsored race.
