Since his appointment 18 months ago, Chris Davies has overseen a major squad overhaul at Birmingham. The club has been exceptionally active in the market, bringing in a total of 32 new players across his three previous windows.
This influx included 17 signings in his first summer, 12 in the following summer, and three arrivals last January. Despite that flurry of activity, Davies believes the importance of the upcoming window surpasses even that of last year.

Speaking about the January period, the Blues boss left no room for ambiguity regarding its importance. "I think it's critical," Davies stated. "This transfer window is very important for us."
He elaborated, drawing a comparison with the previous year: "They have all been important for different reasons. This is going to be like last January but you can weight even more importance on it. We did two or three last January that really helped us but this is a big one coming up, definitely."
