Wolverhampton Wanderers have unveiled their 2026-27 home kit, a special edition designed to mark the club's 150th anniversary. The new strip pays homage to the original 1877 kit, featuring a classic gold and black design with a vintage collar and cuffs.
A Nod to History
The kit incorporates historical elements such as the club's original crest, which was used during the early years. The shirt is predominantly gold with black trim, echoing the colors worn by the team in their first ever match. The shorts are black, and the socks are gold with black tops.
Key Features
- Classic Design: Inspired by the 1877 kit, with a modern fit for today's players.
- Special Badge: A commemorative 150th anniversary badge is embroidered on the chest.
- Sustainable Materials: Made from recycled polyester, aligning with the club's environmental commitments.
The kit will be worn for the first time in a pre-season friendly and will be available for purchase from July 1. Fans can pre-order now via the club's official website.
Celebrations Throughout the Season
The 150th anniversary celebrations will include various events, exhibitions, and community initiatives. The club has planned a series of activities to engage supporters and honor the club's rich history.
Wolves' managing director said: "This kit is a tribute to our heritage and the generations of fans who have supported the club. We are proud to wear it and celebrate this milestone."
