Gala 1: Halton Defends Title with Dominant Display
In the first gala, reigning champions Halton reinforced their status with a commanding victory, thanks to a series of impressive individual performances. Sophie Barr, Freya Karaski, and Eloise Edwards each secured double wins in their events, setting a high standard for the team. They were ably supported by Quinton Lee, who triumphed in the 50m Backstroke, Jacob Agate in the 50m Butterfly, and Anthony Wawrzyniak in the 50m Breaststroke, contributing to a well-rounded team effort.
Garston claimed a respectable second place, with Ollie Yu, Afia Langley, and Dylan Jess leading their charge. Notable contributions also came from Oliver Reed, Ben Stephenson, Erin Jess, and Tom Wilde, who all played key roles in a cohesive team performance that kept the pressure on the leaders.

Mason Pollock, Daniel Morrison, and Summer Melvin stood out with remarkable displays, while Emmy Rimmer made a significant impact to secure the win. They finished ahead of a resilient Liverpool Penguins team, which put up a strong fight despite making several late changes to their lineup.
Bootle and North Liverpool secured third place after holding off a determined challenge from Woodchurch, demonstrating solid teamwork and strategy. In a tight contest for fifth, Formby just managed to outpace Runcorn, adding to the day's excitement.

Beyond the league action, City of Liverpool's Eva Smith made waves at the Rotherham Metro Meet, setting three personal bests. Her achievements included a gold medal in the 200m Butterfly and a silver in the 200m Freestyle, underscoring the high level of competition across the region.
