Favourite's Lead Slips as New Challengers Emerge
YouTube sensation AngryGinge, who had been the frontrunner since the betting markets opened, has seen his odds to win the ITV competition drift. According to Betfred's Robert Ford, AngryGinge has moved out to 9/4 from 2/1, indicating his victory is no longer considered a certainty.
This shift comes after two other campmates impressed viewers during the programme's debut episode. Rapper Aitch and television personality Jack Osbourne have received a huge wave of support from punters, causing their odds to be slashed significantly.
Betting Market Reacts to First Episode
The most dramatic move in the betting has been for rapper Aitch. His odds have been cut to 9/2 from 6/1, making him the second favourite. Ford revealed that Aitch has been Betfred's most backed contestant in the last 24 hours.
Jack Osbourne is hot on his heels, with his price also tumbling into 5/1 from 7/1. The popularity of these two new contenders is directly responsible for favourite AngryGinge seeing his price weaken.
