Airline easyJet has unveiled a new complimentary service at Birmingham Airport designed to streamline the travel experience for passengers with early departures.
What is the Twilight Bag Drop Service?
The newly launched free Twilight Bag Drop service allows travellers scheduled on early morning flights to check in their luggage the evening before they travel. This initiative is specifically available for flights departing before 9am from the airport.
Passengers can take advantage of this time-saving option by dropping their bags at the airport between 4pm and 8pm on the day prior to their flight. By completing the bag drop process ahead of time, customers can bypass the usual morning check-in queues and proceed directly to security on their day of departure.
Additional Benefits and How to Access
Alongside the convenience of evening bag drop, easyJet is offering an added perk for users of the service. Travellers will receive discounted parking for one hour in the airport’s Premium Set Down car park. To claim this discount, passengers simply need to present their bag drop receipt when exiting the car park facility.
Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK country manager, commented on the launch: “We are always looking for new ways to make travel as easy as possible, so we are really pleased to be introducing our free Twilight Bag Drop service for our customers flying from Birmingham Airport.”
Focus on Customer Choice and Value
Doyle further emphasised the airline's commitment to enhancing passenger experience, particularly for families planning holidays. “As families head off on their next holiday or are planning one to look forward to, whether that’s hitting the slopes, soaking up some winter sun or a fun-filled half-term or Easter break, we remain focused on offering greater choice and exceptional value across our unrivalled short-haul network, always aiming to make travel easy.”
This service addition forms part of easyJet's broader strategy to simplify the journey through the airport, reducing stress and saving valuable time for those facing early morning starts. It represents a direct response to passenger needs for more flexible and efficient travel options from a major UK regional hub.
