Wizz Air launches six new flight routes from £22.99

Holidaymakers planning their 2026 escapes have been given an early Christmas present from budget airline Wizz Air, which has announced the launch of six brand-new routes from London Luton Airport.

New Destinations and Fares

The Hungarian low-cost carrier is expanding its network with flights to four popular Greek islands and two major European cities. Prices for the new services will start from an incredibly low £22.99 one-way, offering significant savings for travellers seeking sun, culture, or city breaks.

The new destinations from London Luton are:

  • Bordeaux, France: Four flights weekly, starting from £22.99. Service begins on March 29, 2026.
  • Dortmund, Germany: Five flights weekly, starting from £27.99. Service begins on March 29, 2026.
  • Zakynthos, Greece: Two flights weekly, starting from £44.99. Service begins on May 13, 2026.
  • Chania, Crete, Greece: Two flights weekly, starting from £44.99. Service begins on June 8, 2026.
  • Mykonos, Greece: Three flights weekly, starting from £44.99. Service begins on June 7, 2026.
  • Rhodes, Greece: Two flights weekly, starting from £44.99. Service begins on June 7, 2026.

Airline's Commitment to Affordable Travel

Yvonne Moynihan, Managing Director at Wizz Air UK, framed the expansion as a festive gift to customers. "With holidaymakers already dreaming of their 2026 getaways, we've got an early Christmas gift for our customers," she said.

"These exciting additions will whisk travellers away to some of Europe's most-loved destinations, including Greece's stunning beaches," Moynihan added. "As London's low-cost airline, we're all about making those dream holidays affordable and accessible."

Increased Capacity and Future Plans

The route expansion is supported by increased fleet capacity at the airline's London Luton base. A 14th aircraft is being added to the local fleet, which Wizz Air says will provide UK customers with greater flexibility and choice.

Moynihan concluded with a seasonal sentiment, stating, "Nothing says 'Merry Christmas' like more holidays to look forward to." The move signals Wizz Air's continued confidence in the demand for budget-friendly European travel from the UK market well into 2026.
